Congressional Medal of Honor Society The objectives and purposes of the Society are as follows: To form a bond of friendship and comradeship among all holders of the Congressional Medal of Honor. To protect, uphold and preserve the dignity and honor of the medal at all times and on all occasions. To protect the name of the medal and individual recipients of the Medal from exploitation. Daughters of the American Revolution The DAR, founded in 1890 and headquartered in Washington, D.C., is a volunteer women's service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America's future through better education for children.
Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War "We are daughters, direct descendants, from Veterans of the Union Army who fought in the defense and for the preservation of our Nation during the American Civil War. We honor our Veterans through service projects which are of benefit to the public in a local, State and National level."
